Our campaigning and government lobbying is informed by strands of research emerging from our work:
– We document and highlight inaccurate understanding and implementation of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010 within education settings
– We identify gaps in existing policies and regulation of external providers that allow inaccurate, inappropriate and dangerous materials to be promoted in schools
– We collect examples of external provider materials used in schools and teacher training that fail to meet legislation, guidance and safeguarding standards
– We share inappropriate RSE and PSHE resources to raise awareness of content, ideological capture and coverage
– We collate stories of experiences in schools of bad materials and policies, their impact on children, teaching and the school environment
– We explore the history of third sector resources and the interrelations between individuals, organisations and politicians who promote and fund them
