CAMPAIGNING

Moving beyond a school-by-school approach:

  • The promotion of gender identity in schools is systemic and requires a systemic response
  • The governmental and institutional reaction to ideological teaching and policy failures in school, including breaches of safeguarding practice, is unacceptable
  • There is widespread failure to acknowledge the scale of the problem and no apparent accountability or appetite for addressing it

In response to these problems we:

–  Advocate for monitoring and regulation of external providers of content for PSHE and RSE (and of teacher training and governor training)

–  Write to key political representatives involved in education (Ministers, Shadow Ministers, spokespeople, Lords, Select Committees, Local Authority officers, Councillors, Academy Trusts, Ofsted)

– Lobby organisations tasked with regulating, scrutinising and safeguarding education and equalities: Department for Education, Ofsted, Ofqual, EHRC

– Coordinate and work with with other organisations and campaigns

– Champion good practice where we find it
